Default Favorite ever albums.

Every so often I isolate myself for an hour or two listening to a favorite album. Its a beautiful thing when every note seems like perfection.

Any favorites?

Right now OK Computer by Radiohead is blowing my mind away. (evidenced by my avatar)

OK Computer is always one of my faves. Took about 100 listens before I finally 'got' it.

Dark Side of the Moon is just musical bliss.

For the 90s rock lover in me, Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape can't be beat.

Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is just such a solid (double!) album.

And...London Calling.

All time faves:

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms

Soundtrack to the Last of the Mohicans

REM - Automatic for the People (a little too many songs about death though - and "Everybody Hurts" just may be the most over-rated sappy piece of crap song ever - but apart from that LOVE the albumn)

Metallica - The Black Album

The Outfield - Play Deep

Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor (yeah, the Color and the Shape is awesome to, but I'm hooked on the newest album - both CDs)

Darren Smith - Last Drive

Darrell Scott - The invisible man

And pretty much anything from Chris Knight. New acoustic album is amazing.

Nice, that's what immediately came to my mind when I saw the thread title.

The Rose by the Mediaeval Baebes is another of my all-time favorites.

Well, being the early 90s kid that I am, I'm going to have to toss in Nirvana, Nevermind and Pearl Jam Ten.

OK Computer is #1 for me as well. I've listened to it so many times but it still has the power to floor me. The truly amazing thing about Radiohead is Amnesiac, Kid A, and Hail to the Thief all had their moments of musical ecstacy and are absolute classics. That and the Bends just rocks.

I also love Wilco's A Ghost is Born and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
