I got a refurb ipod and it's great. I've had it for about 2 years now and not problems whatsoever. It came with the same warrenty as a new one too and looked just like new.
The only difference was that the box it came in.

I got my 30gb iPod and my Macbook Pro from the refurb store, Ipods been great, had a fan go on my mbp but it was replaced under warranty no problems. Its a great deal and both items looked brand new when they got to me, so no problems on my end.

I ordered a refurbished ipod from the apple website, I don't use it much, but I've had it a year with no problems.

Add me to the list - 8gb refurbished iPod, no issues, they shipped it out pretty quickly as well.

I bought a 3rd gen refurb iPod and I'm still using it. Had to replace the battery after a year and a half but that's not uncommon even with brand new ones.
As long as it's sold under warranty, it's a good deal.

I got a 30gb iPod a year ago or so. I have not had any problems with it whatsoever. I did buy the extended warranty on it just incase though.
One of the best purchases I've ever made.
Edit - as mentioned above, my iPod also looked brand new.

-Hold Center button + Menu button for 10 seconds

I would say they are better than new. They have been looked over by a tech in the US, not shipped to you directly from Taiwan.
Same warranty and the prices of the Macbooks right now are a hell of a deal. Don't wait too long.

I would say yes. You can buy it anytime within your one year as well.

Thanks for the link...
but I don't see how they're much of a deal. I went to westworld computers and their macs are around 1,400 for a new one and you can get the student discount thing where you can get a nano for dirt cheap.
