Favorite Cold Summertime Snack?
Just wondering what you guys like to munch on in the summer...
I recently bought a thing of 'Dibs' which are bite sized ice cream things covered in chocolate, and damn are they good! I highly recommend the ones with Rolo flavoured ice cream in them. A wee pinch addicting though, I think it's cause they're so small and you can just reach in and grab one with your fingers... pretty soon the whole thing is gone! I also bought some 'firecrackers'... those red white and blue ice treats like you used to get at the dickie dee guy.
So what do you all like to treat yourself to on a hot day?

Watermelon.
Working on my uncle's farm growing up, at the end of a hot day we would check out the watermelon patch and look for a ripe one. They weren't big ones like in the store, but when they ripened up they were really sweet.

That's not a snack! (Unless you're drinking Guiness and then it's a meal.)

some places call it a screamer and some call it a sno-jack or sno-bob, but it's half slurpee and half soft ice cream, and 100% tasty summertime refreshment. quite possible the tastiest creation i have ever had and my hands down favourite since i was a kid. sooooo good. the tough thing is finding a store that makes/sells them, they're far more common in rural alberta, i know that for sure, though i did find a place in lethbridge where you could get them when i went to university down there

Go even smaller than dibs. Dots. Those little tiny ice cream balls they sell at Calaway Park.
Also, cherries. I tend to eat much healther this time of year because I spend the entire summer eating cherries rather than chocolate bars and the like.

But dots aren't chocolate coated... are they? And yeah, i hear you about the healthy thing. Went into the grocery store the other day and walked out with a bag full of fruit. How am i supposed to eat it all before it goes bad?! I polished off a pound of strawberries in a day though... mmmmm... strawberries.

If you have a blender, ice and booze you don't have a problem.
