Food and Safety Chief executed!!!!

Last week, China's food safety watchdog said almost 20 per cent of products made for consumption within China were found to be substandard in the first half of 2007. Canned and preserved fruit and dried fish were the most problematic, primarily because of excessive bacteria and additives, the agency said.

Was he REALLY the problem? Or was he the scapegoat/flunkie that took the bullet to the head for the team?

With China's growing economy the corruption, that was already there, is taking on the look of a hydra.

When I was in Beijing a couple months back I saw all the Military Officers flying around in Suped-up Audis, equipped with lights and sirens! (I mean what else could an officer be driving??? )

And I kept thinking to myself "If those cars are for getting themselves quickly to the latest peasant uprising wouldn't a Hummer be better?" I mean you'd ruin the undercarriage running them flat with those cars!
