Yes, still to this day seems to be the assumption that homsexuality is akin to paediophilia. Obviously that is not correct, but it lingers still. One of the one times I will admit our male centered world still gets unfair attention. How many young girls are assulted, but because it's 'straight' it's not as weird?

There may be a link to homosexual (or sexual) abusers and child abuse, but it is certainly not backwards. Obviously many (nearly all, as many as straight people) gays and may lesbians have proven they do not abuse children, they just prefer their own sex. There is no link between being gay and being a child abuser.
Many of us (all of us, gay, straight, unich, transexual) may be leather wearing, roleplaying, porn watching freaks. But we don't abuse our children.
RANDOM THOUGHTS: I love how the music is light and happy through some weird parts. Are all young boys named Jimmy? This film was at least good about teaching about paediophiles, just wish they didn't make the link to homosexuality.

I own a copy of that movie, and I have to say that 60 years later it was one of the greatest unintentional comedies of its time.
I understand that there was a spoofy remake done of it a few years ago.

Most acts of pedophilia involve men with boys, and since the definition of homosexual is male to male...you see why they were called homosexuals.
Of course you could be a homosexual and not a pedophile, or be a pedophile and not homosexual. But this was the 50's when most in the public had no idea that they were actually seperate.
