Big thumbs up from me. I just downloaded the entire new APC album, and it probably took 10 minutes. In total, the entire cost was less than you will probably find it for in the stores. You can also burn all songs downloaded onto CD (even though the process is more convoluted than it should be).

Which is why I refuse to buy from them. I can't throw these on my ipod without first burning them to CD and then ripping them again. I actually had a $10 gift certificate from them when they first opened and I only managed to spend $3.00 of it because it was such a pain to use the files it wasn't worth my time.

I hope one day these music stores wake up and agree on a standard, that is the day I will start supporting them.

I agree it is a pain in the ass...the process is way too complicated.

I had a free song download from McDonald's Monopoly and it worked out fine when I burned it on a CD (I dont have a MP3 player). The file is encrypted (copyright protected) and I think that's is why you have to go thru so much trouble to get it on your iPod...

I thought (and was hoping) that someone was organizing a burning of the shoddy merchandise purchased over the years at Futureshop (or someone had a salesman (from 2+ years ago, they're now apathetic)).

I refuse to give money to Futureshop. I can do my research there, and browse a variety of choices in (now) peace, then go spend my funds at someplace like London Drugs.

Burning the merchandise? I was hoping the title referred to burning the whole damn place down.

Is there a more dishonest chain in Canada? Here in Ottawa the stores have "Proudly Canadian" stickers on the doors even though the place is owned by an American chain. I love how they'll build a great big Future Shop right next to a great big Best Buy. I guess they figure the Canadian public is too stupid to know they're owned by the same company and will just assume they are actual competitors.

I also refuse to give my money to Futureshop. Or Best Buy either.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who does this. A lot of other large companies are willing to match (or already are matching) the Futureshop prices. I'd rather purchase such products elsewhere.
