EA NHL07 Revisited
So now that we've all had time to play the game I was curious what all of you think. Are you playing it a lot? Enjoying it?
I've actually completed 2 Seasons already, lost the cup to Philly in Game 7 last Season. Whhaaaa!!!!!!!
My thoughts;
-The new shooting system for the XBOX360 is incredible. Muct more fun than jamming on a button.
-Graphics are great, HD is amazing.
-The players skating into the boards glitch is frustrating, gone offside so many times because of this.

I still play it, 2k7 is sold. I love it, I actually play it more than COD3 and Gears of War.
I really look forward to NHL 08, this is a great base to work from for EA.

Online is way to freaking hard.
I go on there and get my ass lit up every time. Makes me not want to play anymore

and that's the games fault?
I've got it for PC, and I play it more than I should concerning my school marks. The new way of passing on the PC version is so much more accurate, but im still having trouble getting used to the different ways of shooting. Overall, another solid game from EA.

My face is a bum!

I think its an excellent start. I find trying to pass back to the point my biggest frustration. That and the amount of goals that get pushed in by the goalie or roll of his back.

Yeah, that's one of my few problems with it too.

Had an idea!

Better then having the goalies always move to the other side of the net when a guy came around for a wraparound.

I don't mind how the puck is alive.. although those goals happen alot more than real life, but It's a hell of alot better than suction cup goalies

I just got a Wii over the weekend, and my imagination has me salivating over what could be if EA decides to do a NHL 08 for the Wii.

Tried play NHL 07 again for the first time since I picked up 2K7... ugg, I couldn't finish the game.
2K7 is so much better in every aspect in my opinion. It just feels like real hockey. Playing 07 is so frustrating after 2K7.

And yeah, I just played a game on 2K7... such a relief. Passing, defence, skating, shooting, everything flows better and feels better to play in my opinion.

I was playing 07 for a while before I got 2K7. And it was a big improvement in my books.
I've played both for extended periods of time, but like I said, after getting 2K7, I stopped playing 07... its just so.... sluggish and doesn't flow well and its just frustrating to try and play.

Hey AC, what is the difference in terms of the career/dynasty mode? Which one has better options OUTSIDE actual gameplay, in terms of free agency, create-player, salary cap, drafting, minors, etc?
If you don't mind.

No problemo.
Anyone else? Has EA made any changes to their dynasty mode from previous years? What is 2k7's dynasty mode like?

If you enjoy those apects of the game, you should try Eastside Hockey Manager 07 for PC. Most incredible game I have ever seen in terms of that kind of geeky, stats stuff (which I love). Hiring and firing staff, drafting, scouting, evaluating talent, training camp, contracts, salary cap, nearly every league in existence... but all you do is the front office stuff, no actual "game" play. I love it... because I am a geek. Also, it is a good way to learn the ins and outs of the cap.
