About six months ago, pilots from the Indian Air Force defeated American pilots flying F-15's.

Maybe the Americans can go back and win with The Brain.

I don't know how comfortable I would be getting on a international flight and seeing Rizzo's (muppet reference) brain in the pilots seat

Pilots will never go out of fashion. The Brain may be able to fly a simulator, but I would like to see it in real life conditions. Heck, even my computer can fly a virtual plane by itself, but won't have a chance in reality.

Would the Brain know how to reroute around thunderstorms?
Would the Brain be able to solve a conflict within the cabin?
Would the Brain be able to solve a problem where past experience is nescessary to do so?

How was this Brain taught to fly? The article says it learnt how gradually from the flight conditions. That's like sticking someone that hasn't flown before into a cockpit, and hoping they learn, based on flight conditions?

Although there are many questions, this is a big step towards non-robotic automation.

No one noticed that this is a fata? or am I on glue.
I noticed, but I'm lazy today. But I posted in the newer thread (2nd), so shame on me.
