Default Best Tecmo Bowl Play Ever

Just tripped on this on YouTube. For anyone who ever played Tecmo you'll appreciate this. I thought Barry Sanders was the only one who could do this

And Howie Long was a machine on defense. The Raiders were the best team just because of those two guys.

What version of Tecmo is this video? The one I played had (I think) only 4 different plays to choose from. It didn't take long to figure out what the computer was going to do and then stuff 'em every time.

Coming straight outta Lake Bonavista?

Sorry about being a raiders fan. As my wife says, it's an easy way to figure out someone is a a-hole when they have Raiders crap on their car. Glad to see you migrated away from them.

that is just rediculous. He must have had the game rigged up for that. But man, remember Cristian Okoye and Barry Word in the same backfield??? Yikes.

Yeah, I wouldn't even bother passing with those two as my running backs. I remember Madden 92 for Genesis and I think I threw 20 passes all season with Steve DeBerg, and ran every other play. There was a shovel pass which was really just a forward handoff I would use too so that brought my passes up. But it was pretty much full back right. Half back dive, flip, full back dive, and halfback off tackle.

From the original Nintendo Tecmo Bowl I always found San Francisco with Montana and Rice never lost. Do the bomb to Rice for a 65 yard TD every time.

Remember Steve Atwater vs. Okoye on Monday Night Football?

that is tecmo super bowl for the NES.

qb eagles (randal cunningham) is the most dominant player in that version.

Yep, third best hit in Bronco history.

Second was Al Wilson on MNF versus the Riaders against (I think) Richie. Fourth and one, Al hits him in the hole, 7 feet in the air. Turnover on downs.

First is Atwater vs Freeman (again I think) as he breaks up what would have been a first down on third and long as the Packers try to come back with a minute left. Knocked 3 players out of the game including himself and the corner. But I digress.

Oh the memories. My brother and I had some epic battles on the Tecmo Bowl Grid iron. The funny thing was when one of us would be careless and you could see which play the other picked. Then you could counter it. It was hilarious. We took it very serious and the foul language and shouting would make you wet your pants if you were a spectator.

NFL Blitz was also a heck of alot of fun to play with friends.

ah NFL Blitz, my cousin and i would have epic battles on that game. it got quite heated too, as he was excellent at intercepting passes which made my yell obscenities. but then i was a pro at sacking his QB so those obscenities would come right back. funny how all our games were very low scoring
