god i hope its better than last year. $20 for cover and another $30 to $40 to buy drink tix. what a rip. and 3/4 of the stands are of stuff you can just go buy at any crappy liquor store. only a few truly exotic beers.

i would only recomend this event if you are new to drinking beer and you think that you would like to become a little more hardcore/afficianado about it. it might actually save you money by not having to buy 6 packs of everything.

it might be enlightening for those of you who have only ever tried canadian and budweiser, but then again theres probably a reason you've only ever tried those beers. for true beer lovers you'll probably have tried everything but like 5 beers there.

keep in mind im talking about last year and what i heard from a friend who was there last night (he said it wasn't much better than last year)

I went down there from about 4 till 7 or so last night. It was okay, I dont know how much the tickets cost initially as I got mine for free from the event co-ordinator (it was a friend of a friend thing). I spent $20 on beer tickets and it lasted me for most of the night, but it didnt get me hammered or anything.

The atmosphere down there was pretty cool with all the semi-drunk people, but it definately could have been better. You get a little taster glass and you go around trying a bunch if different stuff, but you're looking at about $1.50 per taster, so its kind of expensive. And most of the beers there any average drinker has already had so its no eye-opening experience or anything.
