Preds Deal: Some players Arnott in Nashville anymore!
The Nashville Predators have traded Jason Arnott, Carl Soderberg and Jhonas Enroth to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In return the Predators acquire Marco Sturm, Adam Hall, Scott Thornton and a 2nd round pick in 2008.
"Arnott is a great player and he would be a good fit, but with the salary cap being what it is we had to look for a cheaper option" said GM Lough. "In Sturm we pick-up a younger guy who is definitely a top-six player for us. We also add some size and youth with Adam Hall and hope that he blossoms for us in Nashville".
The move allowed Nashville to pare back some salary, but should still allow a competitve squad to be iced this season.
Thank you Drew for the lengthy, but often comedic negotiations!
