Default June 6 in history, D-Day

I'm surprised no one started a WW2 thread, considering we have a lot of WW2 buffs among us.

Today we remember the brave men that were a part of the beginning of D-day.

I've always been in complete awe at the feats those men overcame at the various beaches of Normandy. For example, look at a picture of Pointe du Hoc. . . now imagine scaling those cliffs with mortars, grenades, gunfire and so on coming at you. Truly amazing.
