On crossfire, they are making predictions on when we will know who won the election.

All 4 pannelists (sp?) predict we will know the outcome by midnight tonite. I think that pretty much hopeful thinking.

I am thinking it will take at least a few weeks to decide, based on lawsuits, screw ups etc.

Thoughts? Should we get a pool going?

Well according to one of my profs, it will definitely be before next year. Apparently, there's something in the constitution that states basically that, if nothing is resolved by december, the president is chosen by the General Assembly and the Vice-President is chosen by the Senate. He did mention that it could be more complicated if someone went to the Supreme Court to dispute the consitutionality of that rule. In my opinion, that will all be moot, as we will know within two weeks at the absolute latest.

Looks like it could be a while.
Ohio has 250,000 provisional votes remaining to be counted (approx), and that wont happen untill 11 days after the election (yesterday).

It comes down to Ohio. Who ever eventually wins Ohio, will be the next President.

NM, if Kerry has conceded Ohio, then we know.
