Wings continue to beef up the D

OK, my defense has been pretty shaky for as long as I can remember. My best d-man last season was Danil Markov. So Ive gone out and will now have to shell out some coin to beef up the blue line.

The deal is with the Florida Panthers.

Ryan Malone and Mark Giordano for Tom Poti.

Malone was very good in the sim for me but I couldn't get past Poti's 77 overall. And with the deal a couple days ago to bring in Willie Mitchell it should help Turco keep the Gaa down. However the Wings are taking offers for Poti now.

We would have loved to keep Poti but 7 mill was alittle more than we wanted to pay for the next 3 years. Malone had a good season with the Pens in the NHL and should fit somewhere on the 3rd and 4th line. We hope Gio's continues to progress with the Flames.
