Thanks for the heads up on the re-airing. I wanted to check this one. I really like Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet.
Question- Is Matthew Perry playing a character that is similiar to his Friends Character, Chandler or is it a bit of a departure for him?

I have my PVR set to record it. I really like Aaron Sorkin shows. West Wing really started to slip after he left.
And I own Sports Night - great series.

Hmmmmm....I'd say the character has a bit of Chandler in him...but I think that's also just his acting style. I think its enough of a departure that it won't be a drawback. One of the guys from Wings is also in it and is very good.

I gave this show a chance tonight, not expecting much, but I really enjoyed it. I'll be sure to tune in the next couple weeks.

yup, caught it last night.
the one show I was really hoping would fill that void left by the departure of West Wing and to me, it did fill that void.
looks like it will be a good show.
I had a bit of a chuckle with Bradley Whitford having a "problem". not that the problem is a funny one, but given his stature before on the west wing made me chuckle a bit. Also with his style of acting, he should be able to nail that bit down, I would think!

Watched it not expecting anything spectacular and can only say good things. Must say I thought it would be less "drama"y and more comedy style though. It's fairly serious, at least I found... unless I was missing jokes.
I really like the fact that its based on an SNL style show and not another detective/police/law firm show.
Good god those are getting so numerous that they are getting dull.

Watched on pvr this morning, Steven Weber (wings guy) was the best part of the show, well other than looking at Amanda Peet.

I didn't even know this show was on last night.
By the way did anyone catch the season opener of 'Smith' last night? I thought it was pretty decent.

That's why I'm looking forward to "30 Rock". It's supost to be the funny that "Studio 60" lacks. I like that NBC developed two shows... one being the serious side of the executive nature of SNL, and the other seems to be the backstage goings-on with the comedic twist.
It would have been more interesting if the kept the same cast, but I can understand why it isn't.
I also thought it was interesting that the guest host was Felicty Huffman on the show. I didn't catch what show she was promoting on the show within the show. I PVR'd it, so I'll watch it again with more depth.

Im looking forward to this show as well as the one with Jeffery Tambor and John Lithgow. Just watched Arrested Development seasons 2 and 3 this weekend. I am going to miss that show. I'll probably get over it once Lost and the Office start up again.
Studio 60 was okay and i'll keep watching to give it a chance. Forgot about the premiere but I borrowed it from the Internet.

20 Good Years.
I think it debuts on October 5th. John Lithgow is by far my favourite actor, and paired up with Jeffrey Tambor it shows a lot of promise. Pretty good premise too. I hope it can make it.

Based on the joke she didn't want to tell, she was there as someone from Desperate Housewives...but it was explicitly stated.
One of the interesting things about the series is that SNL exists in their universe and will be referenced in future episodes. I also thought it was pretty ballzy that they went after shows where people "eat worms" a clear shot at NBC's own Fear Factor.

sounds like 30 Rock is more about the making of a sitcom than SNL... just with a butt load of SNLers. Oh, and Awick Bauwin.

I totally agree and that's a good thing. Sports Night remains one of my favourite shows.
I thought that it was a great show. I totally enjoyed it and will be one of the fews shows I actually watch 'live' on TV rather than waiting for the DVD.
