Kabbooooooooooooom!!! Flyers Acquire Vokoun

GM Noops has finally done it. He has acquired a true number one goaltender. The asking price was high, but GM Noops number one goal this off-season was to bring in some players than can steal a game or two or many for the team. A few weeks ago, Teemu Selanne was brought in and now Tomas Vokoun.

Noops: “Under my control, the flyers have never had a shutout. Not one friggin shutout in a season and a half!!! That should change now”

In exchange for Vokoun, Montreal receives Andrew Raycroft, and two young guys destined for stardom in Jason Pominville and Kyle Okposo.

“we’re giving up two good young players, but we feel that we have the depth to be able to make this move. Pominville would have been a 3rd liner for us, and Okposo is at least one year away from making the big club.”

Hmm... with all these trades happening before July 1st, will the CPHL be a ghost town for the rest of the summer?

It'll be interesting to see how all these trades look after re-rates are done.

EDIT: I didnt mean this one specifically, I meant all the big trades today.

Don't think so, looks to me this offseason is going to have a lot of stages to it...
