Canadiens Start Rebuild from the Goalie out
In two seperate but related moves, the Montreal Canadiens begin their rebuild by securing up the goalie position, while adding some youth up front.
Out: Vetran Goalies Patrick Lalime and Thomas Vokoun plus #1 RW Daniel Alfredsson
In: Established Goalies with Upside Andrew Raycoff and Ray Emery plus young promising forwards Thomas Plekanec and Jason Pomminville along with Prospect Kyle Okposo.
All in all we felt we gave up two elite players for two younger but proven goalies and two good young forwards with solid NHL track records and a prospect that is within a year or two from breaking into the NHL.
