Where to buy a popcorn cart?
Good folks of CP.
I'm looking for a place in Calgary where I can buy an old timey popcorn cart.
I guess it doesn't have to be old timey, but basically I'm looking for a popcorn machine on wheels.
I tried googling it and found a couple places to buy one on line, but nothing specifically in Calgary.
Anyone know a place?

A place like Home Outfitters or Bed Bath and Beyond might be a good bet.

Yeah, I know I've seen a few there, but they aren't always that great, and they don't always have them. Thanks though.

this could be a real longshot - but perhaps you might try stopping off at a totem lumber and see if they still have the popcorn machine at the front (the one on McLead Trail used to have one) - perhaps there is some kind of "sold/serviced by" sticker on the machine that you could get some information from.
nothing like sitting down to watch some talkies with a big bowl of fresh buttered popcorn and a sasparilla to wash it down......

Call a place called Showcase - they sell and install insane home theater set-ups. I was in there this morning and I think I saw a popcorn stand like what you're talking about. If you find one let us know!

Thanks everone.
I have a few leads now.
Looks like a few places have the one YNAT linked to, so I'll see if the stores in town have them in stock.
Thaks again, I think I'll be able to track down what I'm looking for.

I bought the same all in one popcorn that they use at Totem from Harlan Fairbanks. http://www.harlans.ca They have different mixes, sizes and seasonings and is quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else and easier than making your own blend. I think it is purchased in cases of 36 packages. They may even sell the machines there to.

It's for my dad, for his birthday.
I think he said something about Fotze's mom loving popcorn.

Harlan is actually where I narrowed my search down to. They have a showroom in Calgary somewhere--but if you could get one at Costco, I think it would be a much, MUCH better deal.

I would really suggest going to Harlan...they are just south of the Roadking. They are the pros in popcorn in town, selling everything from home units to the machines you see in movie theatres and the Dome. Good call on the all-in-one popcorn from them as well...much easier for people than messing around with oil, seed and salt separately.
The only caveat is that they are more of a supplier to the industry than a retail operation,...so I'd suggest calling there first and maybe setting up an appointment with a sales person.
