Derek Fisher misses playoff to be with sick child

I do not know if this should be here or in the "other sports" thread but either way here it is.
I just read this article on Derek Fisher of the Utah Jazz, as the ones that care know they are in the playoffs and as we ALL know how important the playoffs are this show his dedication to being a father more then a player. He missed the first two games of the series to be with his 10 month old doughter who has cancer of the retna, they were able to cure it but he would not leave her to go play no matter what.
It makes you glad that there are people out there that know what comes first. I just had to share it.

He came rushing back into EnergySolutions Arena late into Game 2, cause Jerry Sloan kept him on the active list, and got an incredible ovation from the fans when he stepped on the floor. Sure it was great from a team standpoint that he came back and helped Utah win, but it really speaks to his dedication as a father and a human being to do what he did.

Must be nice to have the luxury of enough cash to take time off from work to be with a sick child. Wish everyone could afford to do it.

It's too bad medical bills take up so much income most people are obligated to work when their kids have cancer.
