The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce that Lou Lamoriello has accepted the Jets head coaching position.

GM Walsh released this statement:

"Lou is a very good coach, he is not afraid to make bold moves and he is a defence first coach. That is the first area in which this team must get better."
