Default French network buys Little Mosque on the Prairie

I thought this was a bit interesting given the discussion we had way back on here when the show was coming out:

Canal Plus, a French pay television service, has become the first international network to buy the CBC-TV series Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Other broadcasters in the U.S. and Europe are also looking at the sitcom about a Muslim community in a small Prairie town, according to Mary Darling of Westwind Pictures, the show's producer.

....

International buyers often compliment the show for breaking down cultural stereotypes, Darling said, calling it "a real Canadian success story."

I actually liked the 2-3 episodes I watched... I certainly don't mark it on my calendar every week, but if it was on while I'm flipping I'd probably stop on it.
