I saw this on the Hater the other day and thought that you guys might get a kick out of it.
Over the years, Ad Council PSAs have warned kids about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and a saucepan-wielding Rachel Leigh Cook. But with their new "Think Before You Post" PSA campaign, the Ad Council has finally gotten around to warning kids about the one thing that can seduce, maim, and leave them for dead while simultanously making Chris Hansen famous. I'm talking, of course, about that dark menace known as The Internet. One of their PSAs is below:
Lessons learned:
1. The Internet will totally make you really popular.
2. Having a MySpace page that everyone can see is the fast track to fame! (Afterall, it worked for Dane Cook.)
3. Getting recognized from the Internet at the mall can be such a hassle, you know?
4. Inside every high school coach, movie theater usher, and tattooed restaurant worker lurks the dark heart of a pedophile. Either that, or Sarah's blog posts are particularly engrossing.
5. Nothing says "unfriendly" like a busboy wiping down tables at a beachside cafe.
Location: Close enough to make a beer run during a TV timeout

I'm not sure what you mean by "get a kick out of it." Perhaps its a little over the top, but it gets the point across- for every cute guy at school who sees your picture and likes it, there will be countless other creepy people.
As a guy who has a teenage niece; I can appreciate the message given.
I agree, some kids are entirely unaware of the consequences surrounding posting things on enormous online boards like MySpace and Facebook.
People love the fact that they can go on facebook and talk to people they haven't seen in years, enjoying the service that is provided. They dont see into the fact that it makes people very easy to find, and you have to be careful.
A friend of mine's little brother is in high school and one of their substitute teachers ended up having her picture posted all over facebook while she was at a club drunk off her ass. All the students saw this and shes having a hard time getting a subbing job.
Same friend went on facebook and joined a certain "group" that was fairly innocuous but was focused on the dis-like a certain co-worker that they all worked with. It started as a joke, but they all got fired.
Theres a lot of things kids dont know and the learning curve just gets steeper every year. Every action has consequences.
Locke.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I understand that kids need to exercise more common sense when using the internet but that was over the top. Here's a more comical PSA about using the internet.
I am looking at this from a logical perspective, the coach states that he loves the new tattoo, which leads me to think that she is likely 18 years of age or older, as don't most shops have a policy regarding tattoos to minors. If that is the case Sarah is just a two bit floozy who is flaunting her fading appearences for popularity at the mall.... plus don't be rude answer the man what colour underwear are you wearing today?

I think that minors can get tattoos if they have a parent with them.
I think that minors can get tattoos if they have a parent with them.
I would have to think that this is pretty poor parenting then, I know when I was 16/17 and I got a tattoo I would be regretting it right now. That being said if it was a crap parent it could be a natural evolution from the use a condom commercials of the early 90s.
