Are you asking about places to rent or places to buy. I would assume since you're a student rent.....But I've known a few people who were students who could also buy.

I get asked by clients all the time about this kind of thing. I'm in the Edmonton area but I've found this works quite well up here.

Call a realtor and ask if he/she has listings on his/her website. You'll find that some of them have all listings on their site and you can search by location, price range, home features, etc. You don't even have to give the realtor your name if you don't want to. Just call up a couple from the Herald real estate pages.

Edit: I posted before seeing J Pold's last post. Maybe the realtor idea won't work so well if you want to rent a place.

http://www.rentfaster.ca/
http://www.homerent.ca/

EDIT: Those are the two biggest rental sites that have Calgary that I know of, there are lots of others but they are smaller. Craigslist also has a real estate area.
