The first thing you thought of when you heard 'Europe' was the band, not the continent? Are you sure you're not from Edmonton?

First you will notice how hot the girls are and how much everyone loves Canadians. Never played hockey on ice anywhere but i have played soccer over Europe. They are very competitive i found but still friendly with it. The best part of travelling is meeting new people. Everyone wants to know about you and its really easy to make new friends. Paris is full of arrogant s who will not speak to you in English even if they understand you. I don't like France although i drink their wine most weeks. Czech republic is a great place, try not to get ripped off by locals who see you a 50% price mark-up. Do drink lots of beer over there and indulge in the locals. Wild times. Be careful is Russia. When i was in Moscow everyone was looking at me weird when i spoke in English and i someone tried to mug me with a knife. If you get down to Siberia, it can get nice and hot in the summer and the women, well they are unbelievable. Don't marry a Muscovite though, just trust me on that, the man may be the head but the Russian women are the neck that controls it.
When you are there check out the sites, take loads of photos, keep everything on you safe, don't be too trusting but be friendly. Don't argue with the locals but don't get taken for a ride also. Try all local customs apart from eating sheeps testicles in Hungarian villages unless a friend knows the heimlich (sp?) manouver. I went blue apparantly. Get drunk, get laid and play hard.
Basically what i am saying is enjoy yourself.
Have fun mate.
Magic.
Oh and if you are in London PM me.

Buy one of those guide books, and depending on how much free time you have, see everything you can. Munich is a stunningly beautiful city. Frankfurt is more industrial, but very fun. Zurich was gorgeous, but more expensive than most of Europe. And France is just impressive from top to bottom. You could spend a month in Paris and not see everything.

I played in Europe back in 1995. I played in Hungary and Austria. My only advice is don't drink the water. It was so bad in Hungary, we had pop in our water bottles, cause the water was so bad.

Yeah, because the water was bad in hungary it's bad all across the europe?
Europe isn't so homogenous place as you would think. I see very little in common between scandinavia and southern europem wheter it is about culture, people, living conditions, infastructure and nature. probably Scandinavia and canda has more in common than scandinavia and spain. Still they try to make this horrible thing what is called the EU to work.

if you have time while in the Czech republic, go check out Kutna Hora and Sedlec. The town is a train ride - about two hours away I think? from Prague and there's a neat (read: macabre) ossuary in Sedlec and the town of Kutna Hora is a UNESCO site - hit its prime in the 1700's and is a bit frozen in time.
Here's a couple pics I've got online:
