Default Gretz Round 2 Game 6

Two more teams head off to the semis.

Congrats to Neil and Aaron on outstanding seasons.

21 PANTHERS 2 THRASHERS 1 (OT)
22 CAPITALS 2 PENGUINS 3

Notes for the teams in the Howe:
- Tomorrow's games will likely be simmed about 2ish MST
- I will then sim a rest day in the sim that would have been the Gretz Game 7 day and post roster files.
- Game 7 if necessary will then be simmed on Sunday NOT Monday.

Congrats to the Panthers on advancing. We outplayed the Panthers 5 out of 6 of the games but couldn't get the goals. Panthers/Penguins should be a great West Final. Congrats to all who remain.

Thrashers weren't expected to get to round 2 and had to play the top 2 regular season teams. Put up a good fight but couldn't get the timely goals. I think I did a good job in my 1st year in the league but some learning experiences as well were taken. Anything less then the 3rd round next year will be a huge disappointment.

...... Congrats to the pens...

I tried to make it interesting.... Caps made a good run at it in a tough conference. From 5th last to 2nd round of the playoffs....

Congrats to Goffie and Pens for advancing as well as the Panthers.

Great seasons for both the Thrashers and Caps.

Well I am still very proud of my team. You guys have no idea what I am going through here knowing I no longer have any control over this club...it is the worst feeling in the entire world. Although I am no longer a GM but I am still following closely...it's only natural I guess. I am happy to see the Panthers go farther than last season.

The conference final is still going to be the battle of Newfoundland even though i am no longer the GM but I am pretty sure most people will view it like that as well...Goffie has the advantage but I think it will be a tight series.

To everyone who hates me/hated me I am sorry for posting but I feel the Panthers deserve at least some kind of post here after beating a very tough Thrashers team. I have my fingers crossed and am hoping for the best.

Congrats on a great year Neil, you did one hell of a job with the Thrashers! Hesla, you also did an amazing job and you should be very proud with what you were able to accomplish.

Ok I am sorry, I am done now and will go back in my hole.

PS......Thrashers will be away for awhile now. I'm in the process of moving and don't have as much time to be on the next while. Good luck to the 5 that remain! I definately do have teams I am cheering for to win it all!! You know who you are. GO GET EM!

I am pretty pumped, I already view this season as a success, and checking the scores from the casino here in Halifax was a bit of mistake, as it cost me to drink a bit more and bet a bit more, but that turned out to be a good mistake as I won more then I expected to leave with. The conference finals will be a huge battle and I do look like it as my team vs Dave's team, although I know now that when I beat them he will make up some excuse about how he was not in control.

In reality the conference finals will be my biggest challenge as a GM, and I hope my team can rise to the occasion and make the cup finals as that will be a huge thrill to be a part of.

Congrats to both Helsa and Neil as both you guys did a great job with your teams and had a great season. Although Helsa there was no need in trying to give me a heart attack by winning two straight games.

Jason Spezza and Olaf KOlzig have been huge for me this playoffs, and both showed up tonight. Hopefully this will continue into the final 4...Go Pens Go!!!!

Congrats to Neil on an awesome season - you're right - you did a fantastic job as a first year GM. I think the CPHL did very well with the GMs it got in summer last year

Aaron, your work with the Caps has been awesome and I hope my team is in the same boat (or, close to it) next season.
