Computer Help!
Hey Fella's.
I figure this might be a good place to request some PC help considering it's a local forum and all.
This problem has plagued me for some time now and this wont be the first time I turn to a forum for help. Simply put, I want my computer to run games at a high Framerate, so recently I decided to upgrade my Gfx card from a 9600XT to a X1950 Pro. Previous to the upgrade I had trouble getting my computer to run CS:Original at anything higher then 50 FPS while dropping to 20 FPS in major firefights... Now i'm not a Comp Tech, but a 9600XT with 1 Gig ram and 3.4 GHZ supporting it should be able to handle a 10 year old game.
So, after painstakingly looking for a solution which involved many disheartening calls, like i said, I decided to upgrade to the X1950Pro... I know AGP cards are going out of style but I went with what I knew. I also got a spysweeper and reformated windows. I've got all windows updates and all the latest radeon drivers.
20 minutes ago I was playing CS:source. When im looking at a wall I can hit upwards of 130 FPS, but as soon as I turn towards even the lightest of firefights, i'm dropping FPS like there were 100 simultaneous porn pop up adds on my desktop.
Any help and/or referalls would be appreciated.
Thanks
