Default Roughnecks playoff game Saturday

After beating Arizona on Friday, then slaughtering Edmonton last night, the Roughnecks have clinched a home playoff game, once again agianst Arizona - Saturday at 7:30. Should be a good game, the two teams have played eachother well.

Made the trip up to Edmonton for last nights game. Gotta say the Rush do put on a good show. Though our group found it hilarious that in their numerous attempts at mocking Calgary, they pointed to the Oilers banners to show a "winning tradition". Forgetting, of course, that it was lax being played, not hockey. Pretty funny to see the Rush riding the coattails of another team's accomplishments from 20 years ago. Especially when the team they were facing has a NLL title in its trophy case.

Haven't been to a game yet so I might just take this one in.

Seen a few that were telecasted and it looked like an entertaining game to watch.

Also the fact that they are showing the tradition of winning and the team that they point out gave up and was not even worth mentioning.
Anyways the Necks have had a very up and down season and it would be great to take in the last game of the year, unless Colorado loses. Go out and support the team and let them know that we are behind them all the way to the cup.

It's amazing that the Roughnecks managed a home playoff game.

Everything had to work out perfectly for them to land 2nd in the conference -- They needed two wins, while needing AriZona and San Jose to lose twice-- and everything perfect did happen.

To anyone without anything to do Saturday night, come watch the Roughnecks.

Pretty cruddy day for Calgary sports all around. Roughnecks bow out 13-9. What's worse is if they had won it would have meant another playoff date at home for the organization.

Lewis Ratcliff who is a scoring machine was held to but one goal, and that's your game right there.

Only 10K on hand too - smallest crowd of the year.

Expect big changes after what was a very dissapointing season.

Actually, 10k is pretty good by NLL standards for a playoff game with 1 week to sell tickets. Outside of Toronto and Colorado, nobody outdraws their regular season.

It was a miracle that we hosted one playoff game, and with Colorado losing, the path to the championship game was wide open. I could easily blame this one on the ongoing goaltending controversy, but I find it hard to blame either Avery or Leyshon tonight. Our D had just way too many holes tonight.
