Default Sending a text message from a computer?

Wanting to send a text from my computer to a Sasktel cell. Anyone know of a reputable free website that does this? Can I do it through hotmail or my Shaw email?

Thanks

While not an answer to dodsdomd, for anybody wanting to do something similar but with a Rogers phone receiving, I use:

Most, if not all cell phone companies will have a way to text message their users from their website. It will cost the person receiving the text though.

Can they do that?
There is no way to reject receiving a text, so say I really don't like someone. I would go onto the site and send them a whole load of texts. Just annoy the crap out of him...
Then he receives his bill and has to pay for it. I would call that the ultimate prank.....

Yes they can. You can also have online messages blocked so there's no way to receive them, and then you don't have to worry about it.

It claims to be able to send sms and/or trace the location of any cellphone through gps via google maps. Then it displays a horribly un-work-safe gif for your viewing displeasure. I fell for it at school one day and it was not all that funny considering the company I was around at the time.

For Rogers at least, it doesn't cost. It has the same bearing as a text from cell phone to cell phone.

Nifty, though it is capped. (And scoff at a cap of 2500 messages, but I've seen people go WELL over that.)

Maybe it just depends on the contract with Rogers, but neither I or my friends get charged for messages received, those are all free.

The 2500 cap is for sent only.

(I've gone well over that, which is why when I can, I send using the site above, but I can still receive as many as possible)

Receiving text messages is always free with Rogers Wireless (up to 2500 received text messages/month).
Don't see any qualifiers there. But then, that doesn't mean it bills correctly or that they're not lying to you in the hopes that you won't abuse the system.

Hmm, maybe that just have it wrong, or maybe it just depends on the plan.

I've gone well over 2500 received in a bill, but not been charged for them (as have at least 2 of my friends, as well as my girlfriend).
