Default Shaw digital

So last night I had 3 different tv's going with the game on as I was moving about my house. I noticed that the TV in my basement that I just recently put a Shaw digi pvr on is a good 5 seconds behind the other 2. I suppose it could be because it is recording live TV.
Anyone else come across this.

Yes, the good thing is you can mute CBC and the radio is perfect with the action.

You figured it out. The PVR is buffering the content so you can pause live TV.

Is 5 seconds normal for Shaw though? Seems like a long time. With my Bell receivers my PVR is about 1/4 second behind the others; enough to cause an echo, but good enough that I can have the stereo cranked in one room and be watching a non-PVR TV in the other and not notice any lip sync.

I ask because Shaw is still a possibility for me, and that I'm a bit of a geek for stuff like this.
