The Sopranos (Finale): Episode 1
I really didnt like seeing Tony get his a$$ kicked. It made him look weak. Did Tony create a monster in Baccala? My wife's prediction of Tony going to jail to end the show, is looking more realistic now.

Solid episode last night, I like these kinds of episodes, the ones that kind of take place outside of the main neighbourhood. Episodes like Pine Barrens, College, Commendatori. This one was very good. I swore Tony was gonna kill Bobby last night, but his solution was a lot better. I loved it, and right when they were talking to those two Canadian guys, and those guys mentioned their problem with the dude, I just knew Tony was gonna make Bobby kill him. Sweet justice, Tony Soprano style!!

Interesting that Christopher only had about 7 words in the entire episode. I'm excited to see what happens with him. Especially with Tony originally talking to Bobby about moving up instead of Christopher.

Awesome awesome episode. They really played up how absolutely massive Tony's ego is. I hope A.J. gets whacked. Man I hate that kid.

Great freakin episode, and I thought it was awesome to see Bobby get the better of Tony. I truely thought Tony was going to off Bobby as they were making that drive out to their meeting with the French guys. Tony Sopranos is a truely dispicable man, and his ego is sky-high. It's about time someone popped him one for beaking off so much instead of letting it slide. Janice is a horrible person and perhaps the most annoying characters in TV this side of Peggy Hill, but that's his wife, and he asked Tony to stop.

hahaha.. me too. That little beard and earring was the topping for me, AJ is an annoying little , thinks the world owes him a favour. I really thought at this point in the show he would be trying to get into the family business though.. that might be too predictable however.

I've often wondered if that would happen, but he is just such a pansey, I don't ever see it.
As a side note, how much would you guys give to have a cottage like Bobby's? Holy crap. And the old school wooden motorboat to boot? Awesome.

AJ cried to his mommy when the bear was outside, he also paid off those thugs with a new bike when the guys were making too much noise outside of his girl's place. Following in his father's footsteps, I think not.

Anyone think the long haired Quebecois ripping Bobby's shirt could come back to haunt him? Maybe he got a piece of Italian chest hair in there or something? They did mention DNA earlier in the show.

I thought that as well when the bullet when through the guy and into the dryer, but then Bobby dropped the gun just outside in the hallway. Strange. But ya, I thought about the chest hair thing as well.

Bah, those mobsters always drop the gun near by, that's nothing new.
The theory being that they use a stolen gun that can't be linked to them, and don't leave any prints, so why not leave it there so it can't be found on you.
As for the shirt ripping, I've found after years of watching the sopranos that usually when things come back to haunt someone, it is something that they show, but seems really insignifigant at the time (Tony dropping the gun in the snow for example). I doubt anything as obvious as the guy ripping Bobby's shirt will come back, it's too obvious.
That being said, I have no clue where this is going to go to end the series. Nothing at this point would supprise, me, but at the same time it would.
If Tony get's killed, or jailed, it'll be a bit unreal, but not supprising, and if he doesn't it'll be just as supprising, but not really unexpected.
And if at this point, just about anyone is in line to get killed off, so no matter who, or if anyone gets wacked, it'll be supprising, but not completely shocking.

I thought they always dropped it but then I caught myself second-guessing that. But you're right, they do drop it for all the reasons you said.
I also thought the chest-hair thing would be too obvious. I think they'll play it up in Bobby's mind because he is already worried about DNA evidence.

Great episode.
The intro with Phil is a reminder that that issue is not settled. Does Phil whack AJ?
I was thinking that if anyone was going to succeed Tony or get involved from his immediate family it would be Meadow. She's fiercely loyal to him and has all of Tony's savvy it would seem. It's a far out prediction.

This was a great episode. It reinforced a few major points that will become even more prevalent in the remaining eight episodes.
- Tony is feeling human. His age, weakness and mortality are on his mind.
- Christopher is no longer the Golden Boy. Will the new family member, Bacala, take his place... someone in his family perhaps?
- NY is still pissed.
- AJ and Meadow... are they actually finding their way, or could they end up in the "family"... or as a target?
- The RICO case. Is there anything to it? Is this how Tony goes down, or is it a smokescreen?

Great epsiode, I like some of the other posters in this instance enjoyed tony getting his butt kicked.
Bobby, has been my favorite character for a while now, more prominantly after carrado turned into a dumb arse. Im not sure whats in hold for these next 8 episodes but am dying to find out.
Its fairly obvious though that either someone close to tony is going to die, or he is going to get sent to jail like Johnny Sack. I cant see david chase killing off tony as maybe a few years down the line he may feel nostalgic and want to make a movie, but a movie without tony? It just wouldnt be the same.
Since this show is so popular around here we should discuss all the episodes in this thread up until the finale, and I request for the title of the thread to be changed to "Sopranos (Finale) : Episode Disscussion, or something along the lines of that.
PS. Has anyone been to that sopranos restraunt on macloud i just saw it today. Is it any good, lol?

Sopranos Restaurant used to be great, and one of our favorite haunts... then they changed ownership... its still alright, but not as good as it was.
