The Pittsburgh Penguins got some good news on the injury front as veteran blueliner Adam Foote is recovering well from his injury and feels ready to get back in action. Foote's grit and leadership should provide the Pens team a boost as they are involved in a tight battle with the 3rd seeded Canes. "I am just really looking forward to playing and I feel ready, I am not 100 percent yet, but who really is this time of year." Foote said. Coach Lindy Ruff was not very revealing on Foote's status, "Adam is a huge part of our team and played big minutes for us all year. However we don't want to rush him back to soon and risk reagravating the injury. I am not sure what role we will use Adam in tonight or even if he will be dressed. We are in a good spot right now, and a win tonight will go a long way in this series. We will monitor Adam's progress throughout the day and he will be a gametime decision."
To make room for Foote on the roster the Pens have sent down Joe Piskula to the AHL and have bought out the remaining year on Oskari Korpikari's contract.
