Personally I think its garbage. It bothers me how EA makes next-gen titles for the 360 using almost identical hardware to the PC, but just ports the old console editions to the PC. It makes no sense at all.

I always just assumed that was because MS paid out EA to make the game exclusive for 360 til next year?

PC as a gaming system to alot of developers is going away... FPS's will still remain and RTS games and obviously MMO's but games really do not sell all too well for PC due to piracy.

Don't be suprised if NHL 08 is a 360 and PS3 game only next year. IMO

Also the PC version of NHL 07 was given to a completely different development team in Montreal and the next Gen is developed in Vancouver.

and to say that the hardware in the PC is identical to next gen consoles (360, and PS3) isn't accurate to say.. some people have super machines, others have barely capable machines, actually MOST people don't have machines capable to output next gen graphics.

Seriously, save yourself $700 on a new video card every freaking year and just buy a 360 or PS3. for that price.

yeah, i wasted alot of time trying to get my computer to even run 2006, eventually found out it wouldnt work. spend $1500 on a good graphics computer and get the non next gen games or spend 500(or whatever it is) and get a 360 or ps3
