While I agree, it is amazing how many times he can predict the next play. I play QB1 on Monday nights and it is amazing how often he says, "I think they will ..." and he is correct.

Next, they need to get rid of Michelle Tafoya.

It's not really that tricky if you know the formations and different packages each team uses. I can guarantee he's got a producer/statistician whispering in his earpiece too. there's actually a very good TV movie called "Monday Night Mayhem" (http://imdb.com/title/tt0268466/) that chronicles Howard Coselle and the early years of MNF. The movie does a very good job of documenting techniques, like the one above, that are commonly used during today's broadcasts.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of Theisman, there just doesn't seem to be any consistancy in his comments. Mind you ESPN totally butchered MNF in my opinion last year with too many terrible matchups and 3 hours of hype for a garbage game. By midseason I'd given up on MNF and was watching the other Monday Night Network T.V. for what has to be the first time in 15 years. Unless they figure out how to get better games I don't care who calls the games for them, I'm not watching.

Well this came down to Kornheiser and Theisman and their inability to get along, going back to his days in Washington and Tony K's criticisms of JT.

When push came to shove, there was no way Theisman was gonna win out over Kornheiser, as that PTI show is the biggest single money-maker that ESPN carries, as well as Kornheiser has a very powerful agent behind him.

The two had zero chemistry last year and changes had to occur, Joe didn't stand a chance.

Good....he was like listening to nails on a chalkboard sometimes. Never cared for his analytical ways either, not that he was wrong but his delivery left so much to be desired.

I have seen Jaworski guest on PTI before and believe that he will be a tremendous addition to the crew as he has chemistry.

^^You could definitely hear it during the broadcasts. They were always bickering.

I don't mind bickering. Different points of view are fin as long as they respect each other's opinion.

What I hated about the previous Sunday Night Football and carried a bit into MNF was that any player they talked about was the greatest guy ever. TK went against that somewhat this year and hopefully Jaws does as well. If they don't like a guy they don't need to rip him on air, but stop portraying them to be "misunderstood" and then tell us how great they were were at the meetings.

(And I know the formations indicate the play, but when the camera is zoomed on the QB and you can't see the backfield or receivers you only have down, distance and tendancies to figure out what is going to happen, and that can be a crap shoot. Anyone else play QB1 for MNF?)

Most people I talk with say they can't stand Kornheiser. I tend to agree. But in reality, who cares who's calling the game. I'm there to watch. Not to listen. And when you have Sunday ticket, your favorite team is getting a differant braodcast team every week. So you get used to listening to differant guys every game.

Theismann always clashed with Paul McGuire on the old Sunday night broadcasts too. It got old. I think he's a smart football guy, but he's very y and abrasive.

I love Jaworski as an analyst, but I don't think he's the answer in the booth. He's a little too dramatic for me....kind of like Pierre McGuire...but on all the time.

Trico is flat out awesome. I could do without Kornheiser.
