I need a new power cord for my Acer Aspire 1690. Its a LiteOn with an input of 100-240V 1.6A 50-60Hz

Did you try phoning computer stores around town?
I found this power CORD in Montreal:

Try calling them and seeing if it's the correct part.

I need the part that connects to the computer. The part that connects to the wall is fine.

I went to http://www.google.ca and entered
acer "power adapter" as1690
with the quotes. Click on "pages from Canada" and search.

Maybe the Laptop Depot places around town can help you?

Ebay is the best way to go, much cheaper. I got a replacement AC adaptor for my Toshiba shipped from HK and it was still cheaper than buying new. (However, I had difficulty monitoring the shipment of the package.)

I ordered a spare battery for my Acer laptop from Memory Express. I would imagine they could order in a new power adapter as well.
