Default Kids used in Iraq blast

New level of heinousness?

He said it was the first reported use of children in a car bombing in Baghdad. "Children in the back seat lowered suspicion, (so) we let it move through, they parked the vehicle, the adults run out and detonate it with the children in the back," Barbero told reporters in Washington.
"The brutality and ruthless nature of this enemy hasn't changed."

Pretty evil alright. I wonder if the children were known to them, or were hostages.

So hard to understand how a person could do this. The state of mind you have to be in to not let this haunt you for the rest of your life.

That is evil.

I can kind of understand how people could blow themselves up (well, not understand, but guess on why they do it).

But to do this to children is heinous, especially since the adults fled the car first.

To these people, this is the most honorable act in their religion. The more damage they can do the more "rewards" they get in the next life. These children and the person responsible will be seen as heros.

The people responsible fled before the car exploded, how honourable is that?
And were the children given any choice?

I would grant you that is the case in most suicide bombings, but this was different.

I can't see the honour derived in this.

You can't because you are normal. They can, it is what they believe is honourable, not what we believe in our society.

"The Terrorist Belief" is an excellent documentary. I can't remember who shot it, but the U of C library had it a few years ago. It goes through some of their beliefs and they just seem crazy to normal people.
