Default New Pirates Trailer!!!

Just came upon the new trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and it looks pretty damn cool. It looks much better than the second.

Enjoy!!

LOL. Movies are getting longer and longer eh? I find myself going to the washroom like 3 times if I'm not careful about fluid intake hours leading up to the start-time.

haha yeah.

I really liked the 1st Pirates, but thought the 2nd was ruined by the sheer length of time it ran. I get bored pretty easily.

They filmed the 2nd and 3rd part at the same time mostly to save money. Sorta same thing with LOTR 2+3 were filmed at the same time.

I thought 2 and 3 were 1 movie but it was too long so they split it into 2 movies?

I'm wondering if they're going to be able to jam everything in...
trying to put too much into a movie is always a problem...

That's what happened to Kill Bill but not sure about POTC. Maybe that's what your thinking of although you could be right. Not sure.

Oh dear God I can't wait.... I don't care what anybody says, I love those movies to death.... people say I'm obsessed... who cares, I'm "obsessed" with the Flames too, apparantly, and is that a bad thing? I don't think so.

I really don’t see the hype surrounding these movies I mean I am not saying its bad by why they are so good, I feel like I missed something wasn’t the second one the highest grossing move at the Box office ever?

The old Captain is the best pirate since that one legged guy in Treasure Island. I'm a sucker for old sailing stories. They were my favorite books when I was a kid.

It was third. Link.

But this list is not adjusted so it is slanted towards newer movies. Nowadays it is not hard to make it onto this list since movies open on so many screens and since they charge $27.50 to get in.

My understanding is that they took a page out of Peter Jackson's book and filmed 2 & 3 Back to back (Back to the Future 2 and 3 were done this way as well). I assume this helps with costs, and they are pretty much assured of a blockbuster either way.

so, if back to the future 2 and 3 were done that way, wouldn't that mean that peter jackson a page out of Robert Zemekis' book??

That list is interesting. Surprising how high up the original Star Wars is, considering people paid in 1977 dollars. Also interesting is how bad episode II did. I place the blame squarely on jarjar binks' shoulders. If he hadn't been in episode I, episode II would have done much better.

POTC#2 doing so well is directly related to how good the first one was. I was pretty surprised how much I liked the first one but the 2nd was simply too long. The good thing about it was that I watched it in Italy. They have 5 minutes intermissions every hour. Just enough time to take a leak and grab another beer...
