and make them official in the offseason? Get some kind of email saying its a done deal?

You can work on deals and keep the emails.....But if the GM resigns in the offseason than I don't think a new GM is under obligation to honor it.

If you want to take the risk you can. We will not honor any trades done via email. We will only use the form on the website and only forms filled out after the trade freeze is lifted after the playoffs.
