Default Holy snow Batman! You can't beat Calgary weather.

So i guess this is punishment for the 3 gorgeous days from the chinook.

172 accidents by 830am this morning.

Just wondering if we are going to get a record amount of mosquitoes from this moisture? or is it later on in the spring?

It's not spring yet! hehe

How much snow did you guys get?

I think winter is over down here, but I'd still rather be in Montana.

This is eerily reminiscent of St. Patrick's Day 1998....

They said about 10-15cms by 830am, but it hasn't stopped snowing. It took me like 40 minutes to shovel my walk and driveway, and it's that crappy heavy snow.

I hope those seniors shovelling are ok.

It would be a disaster if it was the same amount. I worked at Scotiabank back then and only 4-5 people made it in out of 150. hehe. I lived in a cul de sac and our neighbors with the 4 wds and big trucks were driving loops around the block to flatten down the snow.

I had "get a car wash on the way to work" on my to-do list for today. After opening the door, I removed it from the list.

The drive in along Glenmore wasn't so bad, given the conditions. Hopefully this sun will do some damage to the icy parts for the drive home.

Sunny & dry the day before - Check.
Big dump overnight - Check.
St Paddy's in a few days - Check.
Half my office staff stayed home - Check.

I think we're at about 1/2 the actual precipitation from the 1998 dump though.

Yesterday it was raining in the morning, plus 15 degrees and sunny in the afternoon, then it dumped a bunch of snow at night. Honestly, who has crazier weather than we do?

Umm does half your staff live in Banff? hehe. It's not that bad.

98 dump was about 3 feet. This isn't even close to being as bad as that.

No it isn't really. My little car made it, although I was 'plowing' some snow coming out of my neighbourhood. I think they're just wimps.

I don't think I went inside at all that day. So much fun.

Well, according to airport readins, in 1998 we got 32 cm, and on Global this morning they said we got 15cm today as of 6am. Still less than half, but not completely unreasonable.
