Family Photo - Need Photographer Recommendations!

So my parents birthday (they were born on the same day!) is coming up, and my brother and I would like to finally get a family photograph done.

It's my job to organize it, and I'm not really sure where to start. The phone book is chalked full of photographers, and it's a bit overwhelming.

So I was hoping to get some CPuck'er input. Have any of you recently had a family photograph? Can you recommend a good photographer (preferably with an online portfolio). Also - how much should I expect to pay for a nice family photograph, etc?

We used this guy for our wedding photos: http://www.cjburton.com/

He's not a CPucker (as far as I know). If you pop by his studio, he has a picture of Ryan Smyth in his portfolio. I think it was from his brother's wedding or something.

Nice, I've hired that guy for a magazine illustration, and he was very professional. I'd use him.
