Best skate
since we seem to have a topic of best of this and worst of that, I thought I would ask this nice group what the best skate on the market is right now.
For you goaltenders, whats the best goalie skate.
I am in the market for a new pair and would like some input.

I think like most things, it seems to be fit. CCM fit my feet perfectly and Bauer, not at all.
Kind of off topic, but have you guys noticed the RIDICULOUS price tags on skates nowadays? Wow. I was in getting mine sharpened on Thursday night and was just looking around at the different models. There were 5 different skates to choose from that were over $700. Wow.

Forgot to mention, the RBK skates appear to be very well made, but I think CCM or Bauer actually make them for RBK. Not 100% sure on that though.

The one that got Steve Irwin. That was a bad ass mofo skate!
I kid, I kid!!! I think the best skate is the one that fits your foot the best and meets your need as a player. I found Bauer boots to be the best for my foot, and the tuuk blade great when I played forward, but I liked the CCM blade better when I played defense. I think the best skate is the one that brings out the best in your ability, and that will usually fall abck to the fit argument. Happy feet make for a happy player.

I love my Graf's, best and most comfortable skates I've ever owned. They take a little getting used to, as they force you on to your toes moreso than bauer/ccm, but after a couple of hours, perfecto.

Definitely CCM, because Bauer is owned by Nike if I'm correct. and Reebok and Nike are kinda competing companies in some ways.
I think a pair of good skates are ones that fit ur feet well and doesn't hurt when u're skating (2 pairs of skates, both hurt like HELL)

CCM is owned by RBK.
You'll notice that Brodeur wears RBK now, but it's identical to his CCM stuff. Caught me off guard the first time I saw him, then put two and two together.

I also love my grafs, was always a bauer person now have used grafs for three years and would never go back. Great skates, very durable and comfortable. Skates aren't cheap good ones at least but if you are on the ice much at all definitly spend the money for good skates you'll thank yourself in the long run

Well right now i am using a set of Bauer Flo Fit, they have run their course and its time to get some new ones.
I have narrowed it down to the Graf 750 Goaler Pro and the Bauer Vapor XXX.
I am leaning more towards the Bauer's as my previous Bauers were superb.
my son likes the grafs.
its a bit of a toss up, too bad they dont let you try them out before buying them.
