Favorite store bought BBQ sauce?
I'm a little partial to CattleBoyz Gourmet BBQ sauces but there are a bunch of really good ones out there, especially at some of the smaller, more specialty places like Sunterra.

Not only is CattleBoyz a great sauce, it's also a local Calgary company.

Saw the thread title, then immediately thought of CattleBoyz as well.
That Honey Hot sauce looks damn good. Wish Costco sold that one too, haha.

I've tried a bunch of different BBQ sauces, but I keep coming back to Kraft Original. Something about it, I like it on everything, steak, chicken and pork chops.

McDonald's BBQ sauce......best dipping sauce in the world.
In terms of actual BBQ sauce that you use for like steaks and chicken and stuff, whatever is on sale. Havin said that, I'm not a huge BBQ'er, so I don't think I've even tried that many.

Making BBQ sauce is easy, and tastes way better than store bought.
Combine flour, steaming cup of coffee, jack daniels, and brown sugar. Reduce over heat.
mmmmmm....

Cattle Boyz was my suggestion too. Solid BBQ sauce. Gotta support the locals!

To be honest I've never really liked Cattle Boyz. I'm not sure why, it just never really struck my fancy.
That being said I've usually got about 6 bottles of BBQ sauce in the fridge at any one time. I like to mix it up a lot and sometimes I even mix them together.
One really great combo for a dipping sauce for things like chicken fingers is to go with about equal parts of Teryaki sauce and Sobey's Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce.

Yeah, that Diana makes some good sauces. I really like the Maple.
Also, you can't really go wrong with any one of the 1000 flavours of Bullseye, sure it's the most mass produced sauce around, but the do make some good flavours.

Yeah? I make BBQ sauce from time to time but never tried that one...How much flour and whatnot do you throw in?
As for store bought, either Kraft Original or that Diana's...but the hot one. Can't remember what it's called exactly. Black pepper isn't bad either.

The new Blazin' Chipotle Bullseye is excellent, we went camping for a week and used the whole bottle.

I really like Bulls Eye Cajun BBQ sauce for chicken. I don't use any for steaks unless my parents are over and they love that Kraft kind.

I'm going to break the store-bought rule for this post. My knowledge is second hand so it may be inaccurate. I've been told there is a site up north that holds Trans-Alta employees. They have their own cook and she makes this insanely good bbq sauce. I'm told that every holiday they release bottles of it to employees. A friend of mine gave us one as a gift last year ... best damn bbq sauce I've ever had.
As for store bought, I will definitely try out that chipotle bullseye. My personal favorite (store bought) right now is the "diana" brand.

Good to know...was gonna smuggle some back if I had to.
Anyhow...quick recipe for a use of this stuff.
1 Bottle newcastle beer
1 - 1 1/2 cups Sweet baby Rays sauce.
Mix in big bowl.
Pull out a pack of Johnsonville Bratwursts (7-8 per pkg usually)
Poke holes in the brats with a fork all over. Soak them in the mixture for 3 or 4 hours in the fridge/cool place.
grill on low for about 20 minutes turning frequently.
Serve on long weiner buns with mustard and onions.
Hear praises such as "best brats I ever tasted" for hours afterwards.

The Cattleboyz Honey Hot is an outstanding sauce, but use it at the end of cooking as it burns easily.
It also makes an awesome marinade for home made beef jerky

You know what I've never understood the love for...A1 Steak Sauce. It's not good. Why do so many people like it? What's with it?
