Linkety-link

A pretty cool story. The dude has lived in the jungle for 30+ years, a massive task force used to bring him to justice and he ultimately gets killed in a gun battle. India's own Billy the Kid.

They caught the guy in the 80's, but he bribed his way out of custody for 2 grand! Probably regretted letting him get away.

Didn't read any specifics on how he gave cash to the poor, but the poor certainly loved (and helped) him.

Ya they were a bit vague on that. They say something about the villagers "depending" on him or benefiting from him or something along those lines.

He sounds more like Al Capone than Robin Hood.

And don't kid yourself that there aren't western politicians who are in the pay of organized crime.

Trust me man.

My family originated in India and there is not corruption like corruption in India.

9/10 or maybe even more politicians are aligned with some of the biggest gangs in India. They use terror to get into office and use terror to stay in.

Politicians in India are all dirty. They have a lot of corruption in them.

It is nuts.

9/10 politicians in North America are also aligned with gangs. Only we call them "lobby groups."

Sure it does. You can still vote there for whomever you wish. But that doesn't mean the candidates can't "influence" your vote in a terorizing manner!

Remember the saying " a vote for [insert name] is a vote wasted?"

Perhaps in India it's "a vote for [insert name], and you're wasted!"

Scare tactics to the extreme!

Its funny how in India the corruption is publicly televised. They have movies of how bad it is and still no one does anything about it.
