Forsberg gets the Message.
After arriving from Atlanta, Peter Forsberg went two games without contributing offensively and was relegated to third line. Centering Jeff Taffe and Matt Cooke, Forsberg responded with his first assist as a Hab only 2:26 into the first period when he set up Taffe at the side of the net. He followed up with a power play set up for Jiri Fischer for the Habs 3rd goal.
John Madden, elevated to the first line, set up Keith Tkachuk for the Habs 2nd goal. The Canadiens would go up 4-0 late in the second on a pp marker by Alfredsson. The Jackets scored late in the second period and added another part way through the third period. However, the Habs held on the get the win and break the two game losign streak following the all-star break.

Hawks run into a hot Gerber baby. 35 SOG for us and Gerber is outstanding, while Miller forgot it was MILLER TIME.

Well maybe tomorrow. Leafs are coming to town, Miller has to be better.

Close game, pretty uneventful but a good result nonetheless as the Kings scrape by the Bruins. The Kings are looking forward to a few days of rest when Alexander Frolov, who has been out for the past 3-4 games, will return to the lineup.

Avalanche Drop Jets!

The Jets rebounded with a good effort after a poor outing in Tampa. The Jets gained a point in 4-3 ot loss in Colorado on Friday night.

The Jets got goals from Sami Kapanen, Mike Ribeiro, and Nick Dimitrakos. Bruno Gervais chipped in with 2 assists. Johan Hedberg was good but has to be better if the Jets are going to win a few games.

The Jets are happy to see Bryce Salvador and Shane Hnidy ready to return from injuries but have now placed top left winger Brett McLean on IR.

HOWL!!

Back with a big win. Coyotes down stars 7-1.

Mike Johnson led the way with a hat-trick and an assist. Ponikarovsky had a 3 point night with 2 goals. Somehow the Dogs need to stay out of the box though, 10 times shorthanded.

Blues come to town tomorrow. Hopefully they go home the same way...

Well a few injuries and the Jackets were forced to ice a very thin line up playing the likes of Zach Stortini. But the team played pretty well dropping a 4-2 descision to the powerful Habs. Unfortunately it felt like every other freaking team in the CPHL picked up two points tonight and we're probably back in 13th place now

Please lord give a loss to teams like Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas, Vancouver, and St. Louis once in awhile. Rant over.
