I know it's tough to get up for an election with no issues, hardly any campaigning, and many candidates acclaimed...but hell...go to the polls anyhow! Spoil your ballot if necessary, but go vote and retain your right to complain. Polls are open until 8:00 tonight.
Anybody want to start a pool guessing voter turnout? I'm in with a guess of
18.2%

A candidate in my ward has signs up saying alderman should not be allowed to keep election funds. Anyone know what this is about?

I normally do vote and all, but really the roads near where I live are crap, and well I have had one guy come to our door. This might sound selfish, but if the candidates can't be bothered, why should I?

I'm going to go and vote, although it was hard to figure out what people stood for. Once I was actually able to track down some info on the candidates in my area, many only campaigned on what they have done instead of what they will do. There was "I did this, I've done that" instead of "This is important, I will do this, etc". Really hard to choose.

the guy who wanted to dig under city hall for 900 billion in gold has a good shot, but then again so does the guy that compared Bronconier to Hitler, and called it a dictatorship. Where is dar when you need her.... oh thats right in her house.

Who's the most likely to unseat Bronco? That is who I will vote for. He's a weiner.

One of the other mayoral candidates challenged Bronco to a wrestling match...If I could figure out who it was he would for sure get my vote.

Speaking of "unseating" one candidate fell out of his chair at the debate.
Fringe mayoralty candidates dilute meaningful debate

I'm going with 14.1%. Weather will destroy turnout.

This has to be one of the worst campaigns (for ANY of the candidates) that I can remember. I don't even recall getting flyers in the mail for any of them.
Turnout will be a paltry 20.4%

Bronco is the worse mayor Calgary has ever had. He basically bought the mayorship last election. I'm so p*ssed that no one else wants to be the mayor of Calgary!
I'm assuming everyone that hates Bronstupidier remembers that cheesy liberal ad he had downtown with him and Cretin shaking hands! arghhhh. puke puke he has the cheesiest politician smile ever! i'm embarassed for him.

Bertuzzied, he was given a city that hadn't done anything in the past decade with Duer (very ironic name) at the helm. He may have paid a lot for the mayoral position, but you know what, he has done a pretty good job from what I have read.

Oscar's well known on the city speaking circuit. He attends everything, and I mean everything, where someone with a corporate or political background might speak.
And he askes a question every time if he can. My favourite was asking the President of CP Rail if it was not in fact true that he was just a front man for a conglomerate of bankers ultimately owned by the Rothschilds out of France. To which Robert Ritchie replied simply 'No.'
Definitely Lanny's man. The biggest conspiracy theorist I've ever seen.
