Who is your favorite James Bond actor?

My nephew is watching the James Bond movie by Pierce Brosnan this morning and I was kind of curious on who is the most favorite actor ever featured in a James Bond movie. I did a search and I couldn't find it so I am hoping to start a poll with moderators help of course.

I know of 5 actors who played James Bond so if anyone here knows any other actor, pleased do not hesitate to add them.

SEAN CONNERY - Dr. No, Never Say Never Again, Thunderball and others...

ROGER MOORE - The Spy Who Loved Me.. and so on...

TIMOTHY DALTON - The Living Daylights.

PIERCE BROSNAN - Die Another Day and others...

DANIEL CRAIG - Casino Royale

The question is who among the actors is your favorite James Bond.

my favourite is Sean Connery.

Daniel Craig is my favourite but its almost unfair to compare him to the others because the filmmakers finally allowed the actor to take the character in a different/darker direction - something the others weren't given the opportunity.

Regardless I'd rank them

Craig
Connery
Lazenby (under-rated, I think he was good in his one shot)
Moore
Brosnan (more a victim of being in bad movies as opposed to bad performances from him)


And if you want to be really nerdy about it, David Niven played Bond in Casino Royale (the original)

Craig (will probably move up my list after Quantum of Solace)

I agree with those who say Lazenby is under-rated, OHMSS is one of my favorite Bond films.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that Dalton's portrayal of Bond was deemed to be the closest to the original books.

For me it's a toss up between Connery and Craig. Connery made that character cool and Craig has revitalized that image.

Craig is the best Bond. No competiton. He is the only one who has had the chance to play a Bond that is human, with weaknesses. Hes the only one who's actually had to "act" as opposed to "indicate".

Not to mention Connery could not have done the stunts Craig is.

Craig is going to be my new favourite, I'm sure, but I need to see him in the next first.

(Since Casino Royale was really about the introduction of Bond. He wasn't actually "Bond" yet.)

I always like Sean Connery over Moore. I also agreed with some people that Daniel Craig's James Bond is the only showed he is human. It is too early form me to pick Daniel Craig as #2 favorite because I have only seen one of his James Bond, Casino Royale.

So far, Sean Connery is winning the poll and Daniel Craig is close second.

George Lazenby did as well. Honestly, George was a great Bond, it's too bad he only did the one, and had to follow Connery. He was actually pretty good. Lazenby's Bond was very gritty.

Clearly Connery is the prottotype, but all actors have done a great job at times.

Connory was great in Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger.

Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Roger Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me

Dalton in The Living Daylights

Brosnan in Goldeneye

and Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.

All 6 have had great moments as James Bond, so it's really hard to pick. I think Craig has a real chance to own the role though. Casino Royale was a great movie, not just a great Bond movie. Really looking forward to Quantum of Solace.

When talking about James Bond I think Connery should be excluded. He is the best, the first, the archetype that everyone else follows. He is the mold. Connery IS Bond.

The real debate is who is the best after him.

Daniel Craig, easily. There's no competition between him and the other actors, both in performance quality, ability to pull off stunts, and quality of his films (Yeah, I know QOS isn't out yet, but is there any doubt that it's going to be great?)

Sean Connery without a doubt, one of my favourite actors of all time because of these films.

Goldfinger has always been in my top 5.

It's got to be Connery thus far. Lazenby and Craig were both great, but one film isn't a good-enough measure. Dalton was good in his, never great. Brosnan and Moore both had moments of greatness (Octo and Goldeneye), but also appeared in some of the worst Bond films ever (View to a Kill, Moonraker, Man with the Golden Gun, Die Another Day). I'd rank them:
