GNR original lineup to play next Superbowl?
http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/54933
I so wish but I will believe it when I see it. I think the half time show would overshadow the game. Axl Rose is too much of an egomanical psycho to ever make up with Slash.

I think the only bowls Axl is lining up for are full of pudding.

Maybe he needs the money? At any rate, just about anything would be better than that steaming pile they put on at this year's superbowl.

Seems pretty made up to me. Would the Superbowl people even be working on next year already? I'd assume they'd want a break. I imagine putting on show of that magnitude takes a lot of work.
If true...about 15 years too late, but amazing anyway.

No matter what it'll be 1000x better than the BEP were this year.

I believe that it gets contracted out to different production companies, so someone else could be doing it this year...

Yeah, but me singing Hall & Oates covers would be better than BEP.

Plus with the looming lock out seems like they'd be really getting ahead of themselves.

Actually I doubt he needs the money, his current group that I like to refer to as Axle and friends raked in quite a bit of cash touring last year.

Could Steven Adler even play drums after his stroke?

The last thing I want is to see a GnR comeback. Axl doesn't have the voice or energy he once did, and there's so much animosity between the fans and the band (primarily Axl) that I don't think it would be truly enjoyed.
Frankly, 15 years after the split of the last great Rock and Roll band, the memory is certainly far greater than the performance ever could be (imo).

Apparently, Slash said that for them to get back together, all Rose would have to do is apologize. When asked, Rose said that if that is all it took, then it would have to be something he'd consider doing.
I don't know. These are supposed to be grown men.

Oh, they like money alright. At last year's Reading Festival Axl & friends came on stage 59 minutes late (their contract stated they wouldn't be paid if they came on an hour late). Then of course their set went half an hour late and because they broke the noise curfew their sound was cut and they sat-in on stage and bickered with their fans in the audience. After getting paid, Axl Rose bitched and complained about the festival organisers.
Slash, separately, played at Glastonbury and by all accounts (and having watched the performance on tv) was fantastic and was really well-received by fans.
If I was organising the Super Bowl I wouldn't touch Axl with a ten yard pole.

Axl has serious mental issues, it's not like the guy wakes up in the morning wanting to be a jerk to everyone in his life.

I don't think many bands would have sounded that great at this year's show. I think the biggest mistake, was that they ran the mikes directly into the feed, and the vocals overrode all the ambient noise, and even the background tracks. You couldn't hear the crowd, unless they were all in shock, and the artists sounded terrible, not that they don't anyway, but that's beside the point. Someone should really look at the way the sound was captured and rethink it.
And never use the Black Eyed Peas again.

Axl Rose has long outlived his relevance. The fact is that with all the time that he f$$ked around with Chinese Democracy by the time it came out nobody cared anymore.
And yes, the guy has some serious mental problems combined with a massive ego.
I don't know how excited I would be to see a GNR reunion, it would be like seeing the lover boy reunion concert at the Stampede a few years ago where a drunk, stoned, fat and bald Mike Reno stumbled around on the stage slurring the words to "The Kid is hot tonight"
Plus knowing Axl, he would book the reunion and then not show up just to watch the Super Bowl burn.
