So I tried Dominos, Pizza73, Perfect Pizza and Pizza Hut. All closed. Anyone know a resonable pizza place opened this late on a week night?

And now it's just ringing.. Arg, you'd think in a city of a million people that some pizza place would be open this late.

LOL, well, I just ordered from:

Chicago Deep Dish Pizza 2 For 1
more info »106-816 Willow Park Drive SE
Calgary, AB T2J 5S1

(403) 568-8888

A medium Pep/mushroom and a hawaiian cost 35 bucks. And when the guy gave me the total he hung up on me. Im guessing this isnt the same company as Chicago Deep Dish.

Go to your Yellow Pages and look under "Pizza". Here in Edmonton they have amazing 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 deals with free delivery and wings at just neighbourhood pizza places as well as some other places (New York Pizza 3 for 1 deal, Chicago Steak and Pizza 3 for 1)....

I ordered this last week and it was 3 pizza + wings and delivery for $19.99 including tax. The neighbourhood places (alot of them) are just as good I find and alot cheaper.

I think the point of this thread is pizza places that deliver late at night, long after mom and pop have left their pizzeria's kitchen.

The delivery chatges they tack on these days are getting bigger and bigger. They dont even want to tell you what they are charging anymore. If they are going to charge such high delivery charges, then why should we tip anymore?

This really is becoming a problem.

I am so tired of snotty delivery people who look at me like I am abusing their children or beloved pets when I ask for my change back after paying $4 or $5 in delivery charges.

Frankly, when a restaurant that never used to have a delivery charge institutes one and it's not even a reasonably low one then unless I get some sort of outstanding service I'm not tipping. I've actually had delivery people walk away from my door without even asking if I want my change when it's $5 or so who have the nerve to lecture me on why I don't deserve my hard earned money back.

If there are no delivery charges (or if they are under $3) I am more than happy to tip my delivery people - clearly they rely on the tips to help with gas etc. but if their restaurant is charging me a high delivery fee then they need to go to the restaurant and ask for more $$ as I refuse to spend half as much money on delivery + tip as I spend on the meal I've ordered.

I am off (forced off by gf) the precarious food department until we get back from Chile.

Plus, I get up at 5am, there is no way I am up past midnight on a weeknight - oh crap, I live alone but it sound like I am already married

MYK

Volo's used to be the best stuff around. I haven't had it for awhile.

Used to go to Van's a lot for beer and pizza after golfing at Shag. It was good then.

I'm envious of your pizza position.

I can't eat Chicago Deep Deep.....Deep Dish anymore. It just does nasty things to my stomach. Or it could be that one guy I worked with used to call anything from the a "greasy greek special".

And the far NE is a Pizza ghetto. Unless it is a chain (Panago, Dominos, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars, 3 for 1) don't even try - all the "mom and pop" places I've tried I would call poor (but only if I was being generous).
