if I'm not mistaken it means "I don't believe you"

really? You won the lottery last year, and married the 2005 Playmate of the Year? And Bob's your uncle?

I have never heard it used that way. Probably another goofy Maritime use of English.

I always thought it meant "and that's all" or "and you're done" (something easy). For example, "Fill it up with gas, change the oil, refill the coolant, and bob's your uncle."

That's the way I've used it as well.

Makes some things make more sense... I've gotten this comment at the end of emails and always wondered what the heck it meant.

Had a boss that used to say this all the time. Really puzzled me.

He also used to say "Blah Blah Blah Ginger" where one would usually use "yadda yadda yadda".

The reference is from an old Far Side cartoon, but it took me years to make the connection.

Ah yes, the ol' "What dogs hear" one.

But incorporating some obscure piece of popular culture into your daily repertoire without notifying anyone is a sure way to confuse people and cement your status as a dork.

Interesting... I can honestly say I've never, ever had anyone say that to me before.
