Default WoW: Burning Crusade

Did anyone go to Best Buy at Midnight to pick the game up? Buddy of mine did, and got a video of what he described as "about 2000" people in line. He had a video of the lineup snaking from Best Buy past several other stores in the strip mall in Sundridge.

Even the Future Shop at MacLeod, which hadnt really advertised it's 8:00 AM opening today had 50 people in line when the doors opened.

Crazy.

Bah, I was going to try to hit the EB at North Hill Mall when it opens this morning, but I'm not expecting much luck. I should have pre-ordered.

Oh well, I imagine the servers will be horribly unstable and the questing zones will be packed for the next 4-5 days anyway.

You may be able to get one - FS had a ton. Collectors editions went fast though.

A buddy of mine was at Crowfoot BestBuy at Northland last night, they had 1500 copies, 50 Collectors editions and they were sold out last night.

I refuse to become addicted to warcrack, although it appears that many are.

Futureshop Northland has about 1000 copies of the normal edition. It shouldn't be hard to find.

I'd really like to try this game but don't have the time to commit. It sounds like WoW just eats up time. It does sound like fun, though.

There must be a lot of people calling in sick from work today or skipping classes.

Nah, just put a bunch of tape on the hinge of your glasses.

Yup!

I showed up about 20 minutes before they opened -- there was already a line forming. They had about 40 copies (no Collectors' Editions though) that I could see (perhaps more in the back?) with about 30 people waiting. As I was leaving, the line was growing. I suspect they're already sold out as I write this.

I "unfortunately" had to work a bunch of overtime last weekend, so I'm taking the afternoon off today. Funny how that worked out!

You get to be a social outcast until any electronic item/computer malfunctions at which point people will become your best friend and promise you beer (which you will never receive).

Other than that, you get to laugh at really stupid tech jokes (There are 10 types of people. Those who know binary and those who don't.)

Edit: OMG am I bored doing data element mapping right now! *sigh*

You get to work at a meaningful, easy, well paying job when you are done school, and not a street cleaner, cop, rig pig, etc.

If you're single, have a part time job or are currently unemployed with some money in the bank and live at home or somewhere where you don't have any rent or bills to pay, then WoW is the game for you!

/Has 4 level 60's.

Finally got off the Warcraft III addiction.... played that thing almost daily for 4+ years. Let me tell you there are alot of better things to be doing with your life than playing video games. Ya I felt like a hero kicking everyones ass online but where did that get me?

Just say NO to Wow! Although I recently saw the South Park episode about Warcraft... that was some funny ****.
