A Case For Protto As GM Of The Week
Yes, I was fined. If you can look beyond that, I think I've had a pretty good week. Not only did I increase my line submittal production, the face of the Nordique changed drastically, resulting in a 5-2 win over the Yotes with the fresh faces.
I've managed to establish my team as one to beat in just under seven days by aquiring key players to the future success of the team, including, but not limited to Alexei Yashin, Jochen Hecht, and Brent Sopel. I've managed to build 4 full forward lines filled the way that I wanted them, with Offesnive players filling the first two lines, and Defensive players manning the 3rd, and putting Rico Fata where he belongs, on the 4th line.
My biggest accomplishment is rounding out a defensive squad that trumps the lineup I had at the begining of the season. Ben Clymer and Aaron Miller will provide much needed relief to a blueline that mainly featured Kyle McLaren.
And I did it all without trading Bob Luongo.
For the rest of the season, I will not be nominating single players, and I request that single players not win single awards until the end of the year. But I hope the league considers me for GM of the Week for finaly building a TEAM, which the Nordique will play as for the rest of the year. There is no longer one player on this roster... it is a team, which I'm finaly proud to say I've put together.
Thanks for your time.
